Romford Development Site
The site is in a mainly residential zone and sits roughly central in colliers wood. The massing and orientation of the scheme is in direct relation to the surrounding context. The overall style of the proposal and their alternating upper oors are used to create visual pass-through making it less dense and bulky reducing the amount of obstruction for the view of the west neighbouring houses. With the units on the south end of the site being less bound by neighbours, it allowed for an additional fourth bedroom and roof terrace. These additional features work to increase amenity and add larger family homes that are in shortage.
